"I want it NOW!" Anyone who has ever been around young children is familiar with this phrase. My three-year-old shouts this out of frustration when I won't give her something she wants, and it's usually accompanied by a foot stomp on the word 'now.'
Our society thrives on instant gratification. We want things now, and we're too busy to wait for them. And if we do have to wait, we find ourselves growing impatient as we shift from one leg to another and often give up before it's our turn.
The same is true when building a successful MLM business.
I often see ads in unsolicited e-mails, online, or in opportunity seeker magazines promising instant success and instant riches. I'm sure you've seen them too. They go something like this:
$25,000 in 30 Days!
Yes, this system really works!
No selling, no products, no calls!
1-800-555-xxxx
FREE DOWNLINE
Company Builds Your Downline
DON'T Spend a Dime Until Downline Built

And on and on it goes. The promise of no work, no risk, and huge income in a short period of time. I know, this sounds great especially when you're in desperate need of cash. But let's pull into the reality station.
Anyone who has any experience in MLM knows that it takes more than a day or a week or a month to grow a successful MLM business. It takes a good 2-5 years consistently working your business eight to ten hours a week to reach the point of replacing a full time income. Sometimes it takes less time, and sometimes it takes more.
People sometimes start an MLM business thinking it is an easy way to make a lot of money fast. Yes, you can earn an immediate income by retailing product, but to start earning a significant residual income takes time. And it's not always easy; it takes dedication and effort.
Those people that do start an MLM business with the expectation of big money fast often quit out of frustration. They grow impatient when the big checks don't roll in within a short period of time.
So if you're just getting started with your new MLM business or if you've been in business for awhile, be patient as your business grows. Commit yourself to working your business consistently and persevere through the obstacles that you'll face. It won't always be easy, but it will get easier!
Heinz Ketchup coined the phrase, "The best things come to those who wait." Be patient as you grow your MLM business. Great things come to those who wait!
Create SUCCESS!
